Vintage Strawberry Shortcake Birthday Party Invitations

I'm going to be knee deep in red, pink and green this week but I thought I'd share a sneak peek at the invitation to Madeline's 4th Birthday Party.

The theme is Vintage Strawberry Shortcake and the invitation was designed by Itsy Bitsy Invitations on Etsy.

I popped each invitation in a green polka dot paper bag which I found at our local $2 Store.  I made the name labels myself.

I'm going to be writing a series of blog posts on hosting affordable children's birthday parties.  I don't think they should cost a lot of money and I have a whole slew of tips and tricks to share with you to help cut corners and keep costs down without losing any of the impact.  I'll be back to as soon as I can see my way clear of all this strawberry!

  1. I love the look of these Penny (although it makes me feel tragicaly old) because the design you call "vintage" is the way i remember the original look of Strawberry shortcake when i was little lol ;-)

So looking fwd to see your tips etc.i need all the help i can get x

  2. Haha :) This was my Strawberry Shortcake too. Perhaps "retro" would have been more fitting than "vintage" :) There is a new Strawberry Shortcake out these days which is very very different to the original so I had to distinguish between the two :)
