North Pole Breakfast 2014

Exactly one year ago we welcomed Ice Cream, our Elf on the Shelf, in to our family.  He appeared with a special "North Pole Breakfast" which was a complete hit with my girls so it was decided that it would become a family tradition.  Here is our North Pole Breakfast for 2014.

I didn't start setting this up until 11.00pm the night before as we had been out at friends birthday party so it was all a bit rushed so I could get to bed but it still turned out pretty cute.

I adore traditional Christmas Nutcrackers so that ended up being the theme for this year.  I managed to score these on special at Spotlight for incredibly cheap otherwise most of everything else was pulled together from around our home.

These were the girls place settings.  The "deck the halls" plates are only $3.00 each from Spotlight.  The gorgeous curly candy canes are from Martha's Backyard.

At 11.00pm at night I had very little enthusiasm for baking so I whipped up exactly what I served last year - Little Housewife's Easy Blueberry Muffins!  They are so quick, so easy and so delicious.  The cupcake stand also proved a good spot for Ice Cream the Elf to sit.  I'll have to plan ahead next year and bake something different - I'd had to be predictable! :)

We also had barber pole chocolate straws, Christmas tree shaped marshmallows and fresh strawberries and blueberries.

Ice Cream the Elf wrote a special wee letter to each of the girls reminding them of the rules - "hands off the Elf!"  Although, I've already caught Maddie giving him a kiss!

He also delivered some special new Christmas pyjamas.

These really cute reindeer ones from Carters :)

Plus as an extra special treat, he also brought along two Christmas Lalaloopsy Dolls which you can see hiding in the back - Winter Snowflake and Mint E Stripes.  (I got these for only a few dollars each at the end of last Christmas and I've had them sitting up high in the hall cupboard ever since).

Our Elf also snuck in to the girls rooms while they were sleeping and changed their pillowcases!  Here are some simple step-by-step instructions I put together if you wanted to make one too.

So there you have it.

Our North Pole Breakfast for 2014.  We hope you enjoyed seeing it xxx

  1. Penny it is so delightful and gorgeous! Last year we had great fun with our elf but this year... will be hugely toned down...at least to start with! Love this and will have to save some of these ideas for later :)
