North Pole Breakfast 2015

The first weekend of December we hosted our third annual North Pole Breakfast.  We started this tradition back in 2013 when we introduced Elf on the Shelf to our family.  The girls loved it so much that I decided to make it a tradition to kick off the Christmas celebrations and hosted a nutcracker themed North Pole Breakfast in 2014.  Here are the details from this years North Pole Breakfast where we welcomed a second elf in to our family...

This year was void of any theme.  I wanted to do something bright and colourful but ran out of time to plan anything in particular and just pulled together some bits I already had and a few new pieces I had picked up in my travels.

This was Maisie's side of the table.  The sectional plate, glitter tumblers and snowman straw cups were all from Kmart.

As is our family tradition, I gave both of the girls some new Christmas decorations each to add to our collection.  The Season's Greetings decoration was from Kmart.

The Gingerbread Man was handmade by Maisie-Moo.  I just adore that vintage Santa that it's hanging off.  It was my Grammys and it still has the price written in shillings on the bottom of it!

And inside the Belle & Boo Christmas Tin was a wooden Belle on a carousel horse, a wooden Boo and a personalised wooden bauble from Love from Seventeen.  The pink "Merry & Bright" gift tags are from Bed Bath N Table.

Madeline's side looked much the same.

The Glitter Reindeer are from Spotlight and the colourful rainbow balls are from Kmart.

We also welcomed a brand new Elf on the Shelf this year!  I don't know what I was thinking!  Except that I love the idea that the girls have one each so they can pass them on to their families one day.  Maisie promptly named him Snowflake!  So welcome Snowflake (left) and welcome back Ice Cream (right) who now also has a middle name, Jack!

I sewed them each a little skirt so the girls could easily tell them apart and wouldn't fight over them!

They brought special messages with them again...

Plus a few little gifts to kick off the festive season...

New Christmas themed pyjamas from Carters...

A new Christmas book each - 25 December Lane for Maddie and a musical Santa book for Maisie...

I also came across these really cute festive pillowcases at Cotton On Kids.  This design is reversible with a bow on the reverse for when it is no longer Christmas...

There was also this design available too...

And of course, the elves brought a delicious breakfast with them.  I avoided the usual blueberry muffins this year and made waffles instead.

While they were cooking the girls nibbled on these gorgeous iced Christmas trees that I picked up at Farro.  Not our usual healthy breakfast food and green smoothies but one morning a year isn't going to hurt!

So there you have it!  Our North Pole Breakfast for 2015!

If you have any questions feel free to send them through.  I'm happy to help.  Now... off to think up clever hiding places for TWO elves!
