Auckland Kiddie Limits

The Auckland City Limits Music Festival is coming to Western Springs on Saturday 19 March with an amazing line up of 40 national and international artists performing across four stages all day long.  Check out this star studded line up!  There are sound and video clips of each band which is super helpful as there were quite a few I hadn't heard of before who I am now really looking forward to checking out on the day.  But the awesomely unique thing about Auckland City Limits is that it is a kid friendly festival with a special space within the festival just for them.  And, kids under 10 years old get in free!

Auckland City Limits have created a special area within the festival called "Auckland Kiddie Limits".  While kids are welcome in all areas of the festival, Auckland Kiddie Limits is like a mini festival for kids to enjoy some pint sized fun and rock'n'roll.  The main things you need to know are...

1. Free Entry!
Yep, that's right!  Kids 10 years and under are free.  Each adult ticket gives one child free entry to Auckland City Limits Music Festival and Auckland Kiddie Limits mini festival inside.

2. Age appropriate entertainers!
Feel free to keep your kids with you out in the main festival area and introduce them to some of your favourite bands but within Auckland Kiddie Limits there is a great lineup of kids musicians to too.  The line up includes Kath Bee, APRA 2015 Childrens Music prizewinner Levity Beet, Mr Roberelli, a session of mad live storytelling of Roald Dahl's Revolting Rhymes by Flaxworks plus a performance by Sparrow from Auckland's School of Rock - all curated by the legendary Finn who recently retired from the 95bFM kids show.

3. It's not all about the music!
There is also a huge range of kids activities to participate in including music instrument making, hip-hop workshops with Serato, kids karaoke, punk hairdos, temporary tattoos by Inkalittle, a giant art well plus Auckland Libraries are setting up a beanie bros reading area and a kid's tech maker zone for some sound exploration fun!

4. Don't worry - Parents won't miss out!
The main gates open at 11am and will run until 5pm - at which time parents can use pass outs to get the kids home to a babysitter before coming back to the festival headliners who play through until 11pm.

5. Auckland City Limits have thought of everything!
There will be specialty kid friendly food vendors plus coffee for the parents within Auckland Kiddie Limits as well as quiet space and changing facility for the smallest punters to chill out in.

6. Safety is a priority!
All littlies will be registered on arrival so there is no chance of anyone getting lost.

Auckland Kiddie Limits isn't a drop off area but a space for parents and kids to enjoy the space together.  If you're wanting to introduce your kids to great music and festival atmosphere in a safe and family friendly environment then this is exactly what you've looking for!

Sound good?  You bet it does!  So what are you waiting for?  A range of tickets are available for sale online now at Auckland City Limits.  Or even better - I have a double pass valued at $398.00 to give away to one lucky reader.
