North Pole Breakfast 2016

Earlier in December we hosted our fourth annual North Pole Breakfast - the day our two Elf on the Shelf, Ice Cream and Snowflake, arrive from the North Pole and the start of our Christmas festivities.

Every year has a different theme and this year I drew inspiration from some beautiful pink fabric by Riley Blake that I bought on Etsy and used as a tablecloth.  I loved the pastel colour palette and the mini tree and bunting print.  The theme ended up coming together easily as I found lots of lovely treasures both old and new in my travels.

I found all of these little trees all over the place - the tall pink and aqua trees are from Kmart, the smaller teal, pink and frosted greens trees from Adairs, the white ball and pink glitter trees are from Spotlight, and the paper trees and snowflakes are from Ali Express.
The navy and gold "Ho Ho Ho" placemats and santa drink bottle are from Kmart.  The Merry Christmas Santa plate and cup are from Pottery Barn Kids.
For breakfast I made Santa pancakes.  They were a bit of a Pinterest fail but the girls thought they were awesome which is all that matters.  Right?  Thanks so much to Tatua for the whipped cream supplies!
I know so many lovely readers like to make their kids Christmas Eve boxes which I think is so awesome.  We do the same thing but I like to give them at the beginning of December so the girls get to enjoy their Christmas treats all month long.  Wrapping paper from Cotton On Kids.
Each of the girls boxes contain pj's, books, activity books, a pillowcase, ornaments and a small toy.  Here are the details in case you need inspiration for your Christmas Eve boxes.
Maddie's box included Cotton On Fa La La Pajamas and Carters Santa Pajamas (because her Mumma couldn't decide on long or short pjs for this time of year!), Hallmark Barbie Ballerina and Hallmark Beautiful Birdhouse Keepsake Ornaments available from Briscoes, Ho Ho Ho Pillowcase from Adairs, Mac the Mouse Christmas Beanie Boo from Planet Fun, Christmas Sticker Fun from Belle & Boo and three new Christmas stories including Richard Scarry's Christmas Mice, The Littlest Elf and Rainbow Magic Elsa the Mistletoe Fairy - all available from The Book Depository.
Maisie's box included Cotton On Fa La La Pajamas and Carters Santa Pajamas, Hallmark Santa's Sweet Ride Sleigh and Hallmark Sassy Minnie Mouse Yellow Shoe Shop Keepsake Ornaments available from Briscoes, Ho Ho Ho Pillowcase from Adairs, Scoop the Snowman Christmas Beanie Boo from Planet Fun, Christmas with Miffy Activity Book plus Lulu's Christmas and Little Blue Trucks Christmas - all available from The Book Depository.
After breakfast the festive decorating began and so starts our Christmas celebrations for 2016.  Merry Christmas garland by Meri Meri from The Pretty Baker, Fa La La garland from Cotton On Kids, Merry Christmas Chalkboard Sign from Look Sharp Store and Paper Snowflakes from Ali Express.

I hope you enjoyed a sneak peek at our North Pole Breakfast and it helped provide some inspiration for your own Christmas celebrations xxx
