Crosley Coupe Turntable Review

Everything old is new again!  So so true!  And this retro loving girl right here quite literally squealed with delight when I saw that Crosley Radio were releasing a range of retro style turntables.  I just about died and went to 1950's heaven!

This little aqua (the colour is actually called limpet turquoise) beauty fit perfectly in to our retro loving, beach style home!  It's like it popped right out of the screen of Gidget!  The Crosley Coupe is also available in cool grey, denim blue, cabernet and jet black so there's a colour to suit everyone (no white unfortunately though).

The Crosley Coupe is the 3-Speed turntable plays 7", 10" and 12" records and features volume and pitch control knobs often only featured on high-end turntables.  In a modern twist, the Coupe is also Bluetooth enabled.  Simply press the Bluetooth button which stops the turntable functionality and pairs the Coupe with your device to become a speaker.

The Crosley Coupe is such an awesome retro design and so easy to use.  Just plug it in and go.  The hardest part was finding any decent old records.  It made me wonder if I will one day regret getting rid of my CD collection with the advent of iTunes.  I managed to find Blue Hawaii and an awesome Frank Sinatra one but it was the kids vinyl that I completely nailed!

I scored an amazing lot of original Care Bears and Strawberry Shortcake talking books on eBay.  Needless to say that the record player was absconded to the playroom for the school holidays.  They sound pretty funny by todays standards but the girls just loved them.

I finally reclaimed ownership and our Crosley Coupe has taken it's permanent home in our living room.  I think they are just awesome.  I absolutely love ours and can definitely recommend them.  They certainly make a unique gift for someone who has everything or is hard to buy for.

The Crosley Coupe comes in five colours - limpet turquoise, cool grey, denim blue, cabernet and jet black.  They are available instore and online at JB-Hifi starting from $188.00.
