The foundations of Little Housewife stem from the memories of my happy childhood and now that I am grown, the things that I love as a result of my upbringing.

The aroma of fresh baking (and full baking tins), the scent of freshly mown grass on a summer afternoon, the smell of clean line dried laundry, vegetable gardens, days at the beach (and never getting sun burnt), being exhausted when you got home and falling in to a deep restful sleep, writing to the fairies (and they wrote back!), parties and thoughtful gifts for family and friends, being tucked up tightly in bed on cold stormy nights, gorgeously decorated birthday cakes, helping to decorate the Christmas tree, running to the neighbours to pick lemons from their trees and long hot summers that lasted forever.
